Joy, love and connection are our birthright. That is why we yearn for them. They are our true home.
Somewhere along the way we get hurt. We begin building walls around our hearts. Our traumas begin to reshape our views of the world and of ourselves.
After a while we lose sight of where we began. We forget how it feels to be truly vulnerable, open and connected with ourselves and others.
I won't say the journey home is easy
(because it usually isn't), but I will say that it's worth it.
I would be honored to walk beside you on your path, and remind you to stop and enjoy the view as you reach new heights. Prepare to be blown away.
Iris helped me take control of my life and helped me figure out what was behind my binge eating. She helped me love myself and see that my eating disorder was fed by lies I was telling myself about who I am. Iris helped me see past that, and that I can be patient with myself. It’s been over a month and I have not binged. I am proud to say that’s the longest it’s been in over 10 years. - Mari M.
